Our Story

How It All Began

It all started with a vision to protect the integrity of sport and safeguard the health of athletes. With this goal, Qatar established the Anti-Doping Laboratory (ADLQ), laying the foundation for a regional and global hub in anti-doping science

2007

Milestone 1

The creation of ADLQ was supported by the GCC Leaders at 2007 summit

2011

Milestone 2

ADLQ founded by Amiri decree (14) as an independent entity overseen by a board of trustees

2013

Milestone 3

ADLQ completed full ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation

2015

Milestone 4

ADLQ become WADA Accredited serving in the Middle East and West Asia
